Abstract |
This paper presents a novel method for detecting open circuit faults in electric drive systems. The methodis based on oversampling of the phase currents during the zero voltage vector. It is independent fromany parameter sensitivity and current sensor errors. Furthermore, the detection can be done within thenext sampling time after the occurence of the fault. It allows a determination of the back EMF at everyoperating point. Test bench measurements demonstrate the functionality of the method. |
