Abstract   A sensorless control of a high-speed synchronous reluctance motor is proposed in this paper. The control of high-speed motors requires very short sampling periods. Therefore a classical Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) would require an excessive calculation power. To minimize this computational power, an original EKF based on a particular motor model is proposed and validated experimentally. Moreover, this EKF gives better performance than the classical one.
