Abstract |
This paper describes a full-featured software package, developed around the TCad simulator,
and designed expressly for power electronic simulations. Basic information is given on the TCad
enviromnent and its modeling constructs. The major assets of TCad are robust nnmerics, adequate
models of switches and electrical machines, high level ofprogranll1ability, and a user-friendly graphical
interface. The simulation examples contained in this paper demonstrate the use of the package in
exploratory analysis, nnmerical optimization, and fault analysis of inverter fed induction motor drives.
Sample juxtaposition of simulation and experimental results is also provided. |
