Abstract |
The study of inverter fault operations of a voltage source inverter induction motor
drive is of first importance to improve the system reliability or to propose diagnosis strategies.
Hence, a systematic and detailed analysis of the inverter fault modes is necessary in
simulation. The issues of modeling and simulation of the drive under faulty operations are
emphasized in this paper. A modeling and simulation package called GENTIANE is then
presented. This package provides an automated model building and fast simulations. The
modeling and the simulation of a 1.5 MW induction motor drive are presented and some
results of inverter fault simulation are discussed. An experimental validation is finally carried
out for a 2.2 kW industrial drive. |
