Abstract |
Modern concepts of line-friendly electrical drives or the design of local power systems
require a holistic mode ling of the electrical system. For a lot of applications it is necessary
to investigate the action chain consisting of power supply system - inverter- contrqlled electrical
drive. The paper describes a simulation tool designed specifically to meet this purpose. It
consists of a network analysis program for the simulation of the power supply systems and a
block-oriented simulation program for modeling the inverters and electrical drives.
The efficiency of the new simulation tool is demonstrated by two examples: the starting-up of
an asynchronous motor at an industrial network with different short circuit capacities and the
interaction of a controlled d.c. drive with an industrial network. |
