This paper focuses on the operation of a Voltage Source Converter (VSC) working as a high power Static Var Compensator (SVC) connected to a high voltage AC system with different AC network impedance. The control performance for a VSC operating at fundamental
switching frequency is compared with the performance for a VSC employing Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). |
