 Abstract   The paper describes the implementation of a four quadrant (±1500 A, ±15 V) power converter to feed a superconducting magnet for particle accelerator applications. The use of high frequency soft switching techniques permits mass and volume reduction. Coordination of the different converter subsystems is achieved through three domain control.
