In this paper, the authors describe a high-power induction motor speed drive, fed by a voltage inverter using gate turuoff thyristors (GTOs). The Variable Structure Controller is
designed in d-q plane. The stator flux (I)sd and the torque-producing current lsq, are controlled by mains of a hysteresis controllers. Under all operating conditions, the discontinuous multi-input control is selected to force the motion of the state system along the intersection of a two switching surfaces. Also, at constant switching frequency operation, the sampling-time is taken into account in the adjustement of hysteresis widths to the motor speed. Improved simulation results are obtained with low switching frequency and excellent torque controllability. |
