Abstract   There .is a great deal of interest in the application of induction motors as high performance variable drivers. The purpose of this article is to investigate the dynamic processes in the new induction motor with a non-linear rotor which contains the active and non-controlled semiconductor elements. Dynamic simulation model is based on the phase-coordinate representation of the electromagnetic and electromechanical processes and is given in the form of PSpice circuit. The applied principle of the electromechanical analogies can be further carried over to simulation of the other types of the electrical machines. Applicability of the models is verified by simulation and the samples of results, for a number of operating conditions, is included. It is shown that the desired dynamic properties of the non-loaded and loaded induction motor can be achieved by the means of varying the rotor resistance parameters.
