| Abstract |
Extensive analysis of a new design of linear induction motor intended as the
only motor for a new 'People Mover' mounted on steel wheels is being carried out. This involves finite element analysis in two and three dimensions and the use of a new test rig to provide a series of results from a real machine in a 'laboratory environment'. The motivations for both phases of work are described in this paper and comparative results are given. |
