| Abstract |
The progress from the last years in RDC (resolver-to-digital converter}, has lead to the extensive use of resolvers in industrial applications replacing the expensive and sensitive optical encoders. This paper demonstrates the practicality of using resolvers in conjunction with RES-0 1-P, a new interface board designed and realised at our research department, based on the AD2S83 RDC from Analog Devices. A specialised CAD software for the optimal design of the filters, small signal response settling time and frequency bandwidth is used. |
