Abstract |
This paper describes on asymmetrical reactor type zero current switching DC-DC converter (Asy-RT ZCS CONV) with constant frequency voltage control (CFVC) . In the Asy-RT ZCS CONV, all the switches can be operated with ZCS in CFVC. The principle of ZCS operation using overlapping commutation phenomenon without additional switch is elucidated. The ZCS characteristics such as output voltage regulation and output voltage ripple are investigated based on numerical analysis and experimental results. On the basis of the numerical analysis, the design criterion of the asymmetrical reactor type ZCS DC-DC converter is studied. Moreover, the switching operation in the transient-state is numerically analyzed in comparison with the experiment. |
