Abstract | The utilization of active power filters in harmonic compensation has been considerably generalized recently. In our laboratory, different configurations, shunt and series, have been studied and some publications issued. This paper deals with shunt active filters and two structures, voltage source (VSAF) and current source (CSAF), are studied and compared. Firstly, numerical simulation is employed to discuss the following comparison points: -Power circuit design. -Semiconductor constraints. -Filtering quality. -Robustness and adaptability. -Load transient regime. Then the experimental results of voltage source active filter are presented. |
