Abstract |
The advantages of applying active power filters to industrial installations are very well-known. They especially afford easy handling of current harmonic compensation using
microprocessors. This study developed a new control strategy based on the use of active power filters to compensate reactive energy as much as possible. Simulation results presented illustrate the good performance of the principle. An industrial device based on the proposed principle is in fact being constructed by the firm SOCOMEC. |
