Abstract |
This paper presents a simulation method for the analysis of active power filters in frequency domain under steady
state conditions using the Fast Fourier Transform. With the presented method the performance of active power filters for several types of control strategies can be easily evaluated. The control strategies can be studied and compared under nonsinusoidal and unbalanced mains voltages conditions. The design of the highpass filters necessary to inject the undesirable harmonics can also be performed. Simulations reflecting a few particular network conditions for two control
strategies, which are the instantaneous active and reactive current id-iq method and the instantaneous active and reactive power p-q method, are presented. |
