Abstract |
Multi-level voltage-source-inverters are particularly well suited for high voltage high power applications, because there is no need for direct series connection of switching devices and for complicated magnetic circuits. This paper presents a complete state-space description of a diode-clamped multi-level voltage-source inverter. Based on this analysis a
PI-state-space controller is designed in order to clamp the highly oscillatory modes inherent in high power converters. Also, the problem of de-voltage balance is discussed for a three-level inverter. |
