Abstract |
From among filtration methods of current higher harmonics in electrical lines supplying high power loads, the hybrid filtration is particularly advantageous. Hybrid filters do not possess faults of resonance and active filters. The compensation effect does not depend of the network impedance, the danger of parallel resonance does not exist between the network impedance and the passive LC filter and the additional source power required in this instance is smaller than in case of conventional active filters. Prope1ties of hybrid filters depend to a high degree on the load character. In case of an asymmetric loading the additional source power increases because both higher hrumonics and the negative phase sequence component at basic frequency are compensated. A new algorithm to control the hybrid filter is presented in the paper, which enables the application of hybrid filters in case of an asymmetrical loading without the necessity to increase the stabilized power of the active part. |
