Abstract |
This paper presents an advantageous way for calculating the speed of an induction machine fed by an IGBT inverter without any mechanical transducers. The good performance of the proposed method, which needs with motor currents and d.c. link voltage only easy measurable quantities for speed estimation, is tested with Indirect Self Control (ISC), a control scheme in a stator-fixed reference frame. By using a complete motor model the difference between the estimated and measured motor currents can be used for calculating the speed and other parameters like stator and rotor resistance. |
