| Abstract |
The combination system of a Unified Power Flow Controller and conventional series capacitors has been studied. The related control problem is resolved hy employing the Hoo optimal control.
Simulation with a two terminal transmission system using EMTP demonstrates the good performance of
the designed Hoo controller. The robustness of the Hoo controller under variations of transmission line parameters has also been discussed. |
