| Abstract |
Buck input stages provide relatively low link voltages, eliminate inrush-current surges and can meet the standard IEC 1000-3-2. Different line-current waveforms are compared in terms of the power that can be processed. Low-cost circuits realizing the most-promising strategy, and employing only general-purpose components, are proposed. An experimental verification is reported. |
