Abstract |
Permanent magnet synchronous generators used to supply DC power from a variable-speed prime mover arc often conditioned with only a full-wave diode bridge rectifier and a DC bus capacitor. This paper develops and experimentally verifies a unique, controls-oriented model for PMG's supplying voltage-stiff bus systems, including intrinsic torque/load properties. Fundamental characteristics and experimental results arc presented. |
