| Abstract |
A next generation of technology as compared to the present HVDC thyristor valves with electrically triggered thyristors has been developed: an HVDC thyristor valve with directly light triggered thyristors including integrated breakover protection. For the thyristor gating and monitoring system an improved concept is used. |
