Abstract |
In the field of the factory automation, transportation system is demanded for the reduction of the labor in large-scale factories. The system is needed for high speed operation and large capacity. Linear synchronous motor (LSM) is suitable for the long stroke transportation system, because the motor is able to produce large thrust force and applicable to high speed operation. Stator of LSM is usually arranged continuously. Authors proposed a new system, which have the primary of the LSM discontinuously located at the necessary points of the acceleration and deceleration. Authors are studying about the technological problems of the system. This paper reports the concepts of the discontinuously arranged LSM system, specification of the experimental device and the results of the experiments.
One of the solution of the synchronization is obtained from the experiments. |
