This paper presents a simulation with SABERâ„¢ of the complete power supply
system for the TJ-11 Spanish Fusion Reactor. The TJ-II consists of seven magnetically coupled coils each of them supplied by a twelve pulse thyristor rectifier. The energy required by the coils is supplied by a flywheel synchronous generator working in pulsed mode. All
important parts of the system are implemented in the simulation to verify the initial design and to optimise the control circuit parameters. The main aspects that have been analysed by
means of simulation are as follows: current ripple specifications, control system design, influence of coupling between coils, synchronous generator transient behaviour etc. Power
Supplies have already been constructed and tested at the factory, and now the complete TJ-II system is under installation at CIEMAT (Energetic, Technologic and Environment Research
Centre of Madrid, Spain). Experimental results are expected to be available at the end of the 1997. |
