| Abstract |
This paper deals with winding losses in machines with surface-mounted magnets and air-gap windings. The paper includes a method of calculating the inductance, analytical expressions for both the losses caused by the rotating flux of the magnets and the extra losses
due to the skin effect caused by the inverter harmonics. Assuming an inverter with sinusoidal PWM with known harmonic content, an example is calculated. |
