| Abstract |
New high energy double layer capacitors provide short term electrical energy
storage not' available so far. Combined with batteries they can provide better energy storage systems with higher short term power capability. Different circuits for load sharing between a
battery and a capacitor are discussed. A test system for automobile engine starting has been implemented and the measurements from the system are presented and discussed, demonstrating the better performance of the combined battery and capacitor system. |
