Abstract |
In this paper, a general purpose adaptive nonlinear controller is designed for DC-DC converters which is robust and stable against the converter load changes, input voltage variations and parameter uncertainties. Due to non-minimum phase nature of boost and buck-boost converters, the output voltages of these converters are indirectly controlled by tracking the inductor current. The inductor reference current is generated by a variable structure PI controller which regulates the converter output voltage. Using MATLAB/Simulink toolbox and a stand-alone TMS320F2810 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) from Texas instruments, some simulation and practical results are presented to verify the capability and effectiveness of the proposed general purpose control approach. |
