Abstract   In this article, we will focus on a 5kW three phase converter for Electric Vehicle (EV). The principleis to use the same converter for traction mode and battery charging sequences. The charger will becontrolled in PFC in order to reduce current harmonics rejections. Two types of charging mode will berealized thanks to this structure. A fast charging mode with a 3-phase double-boost, and a single phaselow power charging mode assumed by an interleaved PWM rectifier. Passive elements will bedesigned in each converter mode, with considering high frequency currents in all the designedelements. An experimental test bench has been developed in order to validate the theoretical study. The control will be implemented into a National Instruments SBRIO-9683, composed by a Power PCprocessor running a Real Time application, and an FPGA.
