| Abstract |
In this paper we present a guide to choose an energy efficient configuration of a pump drive system inan early stage of design process based on an user-defined load profile. All subsystem models are brieflypresented, including different control methods (speed and throttle control) and single or cascaded pumpdrives. These models are based on free accessible parameters of data sheets. The analysis regarding thepower losses leads to the Selection Diagram. This diagram enables the fast selection of an appropriatepump drive topology, using only a few practical design criteria. |
