Abstract |
The control of a high power Synchronous motor, supplied by a Multilevel Inverter is
presented. From 0 to the base speed, rated flux, and from the base speed up to the maximum speed ( 5
times the base speed) Field Weakening operations are provided ( Field Weakening range 1 : 5 ). To
optimise the Motor / Converter sizing and to reduce the losses, the power factor of the motor is kept to
unity in the overall range of the operation. After explaining the Industrial application and the system,
simulation and practical results are presented. |
