Abstract |
This paper presents the investigation of the performance of a new fast adaptive current control. The control is capable to achieve a setpoint of the current within one pulse period without the knowledge of the control parameters like the inductance or the d.c. link voltage. For the identification of the control path the current response, caused by the alternation of the switching states of the power-converter, is used. Hence no manual controller adjustment is necessary which leads to a simplification of the set-up process of drive applications. Because of the permanent identification of the system behaviour, the control is capable to compensate a variation of the control parameters during the operation of the drive system. An experimental comparison of the control scheme to a standard PI control and a state control shows its robustness and performance under changing conditions of the control path. |
