| Abstract |
A converter system based on medium frequency dc/dc-converters can replace the conventional tractiontransformer saving both mass and energy.A medium-frequency-transformer design-procedure is introduced that allows a clear representation oftransformers total mass and efficiency under consideration of thermal aspects. Measurements with aprototyped mf-transformer verify the calculated results. |
