Abstract   In this paper, the innovative structure of a PWM Multicell Interleaved Converter using Intercell Transformers is presented, and an accurate EMC oriented model is proposed. In such topologies, regarding spectral contents of common-mode voltage, the fundamental frequency and the harmonics are shifted by a factor q with respect to the switching frequency, where q is the number of interleaved cells. The EMI and especially the common mode behavior of this family of power converters are therefore discussed. A prototype has been designed, allowing comparison between measurement and simulations. Thus, the modeling approach is validated, and the positive effects on common-mode conducted interferences are confirmed.
