Abstract |
This article proposes the study and the simulation of a variable speed wind energy conversion system based on a
doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). A wind speed variation sample is applied to the model of the wind turbine. The
traditional equations describing the mechanical operation of a classical horizontal wind turbine are used. The resulting torque reference is then applied to the DFIG which is controlled in order to obtain a maximum output power at each speed. The power flow between the stator of the DFIG and the grid is controlled by using the decoupled active and reactive power vector control method. The powerful MATLAB/SIMULINK software has been used for the simulation of the whole
system. |
